How To Treat A Bee Sting
It is important that we all know what to do when we are stung by a bee.
Supplies:
- soap
- water
- ice
- any kind of pain reliever
Steps To Take:
- First thing you need to do if you are a child is to tell an adult what happened. Check to see if you are an allergic by looking for pink or red spots (hives) or if you are dizzy or have a hard time breathing. If not then good, but still you have to treat the bee sting.
- Check the area that you feel the bee has stung you for a bee stinger left behind. If you see one, you need to remove it as fast as possible or the sting will get worse. It does not matter how you remove it.
- You need to wash the area you have been stung with soap and under running water. You should do this for about one to two minutes.
- Apply some ice to the affected area. This will help it from becoming swollen.
- When you feel that area have a numb sensation or feeling too cold remove the ice.
- Apply a pain reliever to the affected area. This should be good enough by the time you go to your doctor to have it checked out.
